What movies would you recommend for a teen that have a philosophical message?

I recently watched bits and pieces of Pleasantville-I flipped past it after watching about 30 seconds of it thinking that it was another 40-50’s movie depicting the world as a utopia. However I soon realized that this was exactly what the movie was speaking against, the main message being that we need to open up to new ideas and give up our conservative ways. I really liked the color differences that showed a character attaining multicolor when he or she opened up to the world.
